1. What We Collect
We collect the minimum data needed to operate CrewPost:
- Captains: Email, name, company name (optional), password (hashed)
- Crew applicants: Name, email, phone (optional), nationality, experience, CV, cover letter
- Job postings: Position details, yacht information, salary ranges
- Usage data: Page views, posting views (anonymous counters only)
2. How We Use It
- To connect captains with crew applicants
- To display job postings and process applications
- To send email notifications about new applications
- To improve our service
We do not sell your data. Ever. No third-party advertisers.
3. Data Storage
Data is stored securely on Supabase (hosted on AWS). CVs are stored in encrypted cloud storage. Passwords are hashed using bcrypt. We use HTTPS for all connections.
4. Who Sees Your Data
- Captains see applications for their own job postings only
- Crew see public job posting details only
- We access data only for support and service operation
- Nobody else. No data brokers, no recruiters, no third parties.
5. Your Rights
Under GDPR, you have the right to:
- Access your data
- Correct inaccurate data
- Delete your account and all associated data
- Export your data
- Withdraw consent

6. Cookies
We use essential cookies only (authentication session). No tracking cookies, no analytics cookies, no advertising cookies. Just the bare minimum.
